Lush Kitchen Box August 2023 Review

Hi again, I’m back with yet another Lush post xD. I mentioned the spoilers a while ago, and now it’s here: my Lush Kitchen Box August 2023! This is my first month ever getting the Lush Kitchen Box since it launched in the U.S. I remember ordering from the Lush Kitchen back when it was a UK exclusive. I am enjoying bathing again as I relaunch myself into shared public spaces.

A lot of people were reporting they received theirs damaged and coming in late, they should arrive around the 5th of each month. How it was stupid of Lush to ship a packaging-less. They make a big deal that the kitchen box be as plastic-free and naked as possible, but often to the detriment of loyal fans who get their orders, all melted into a sticky mess.

I was lucky to get mine in one piece, and it’s honestly gorgeous! It has made my room smell so minty and like a Lush store.

I myself am pretty happy with the selection of products since I know it’s all stuff I can use up.

I think the colors in this box go so well together! All the naked products look good together too. I love minty scents so I loved everything in this box.

What came in the Lush Kitchen Box August 2023?

Lush Melomint Bubble Bar. Don’t really care for bubble bars, but they do help make the bath nice and silky.

Lush Ice Blue Soap

Lush Ice Blue Soap. This was drying like all other Lush soaps I’ve used. It lasted well, though.

World Piece Bath Bomb, so cute <3

Pros:

  • I love all the blues and greens
  • I’m a fan of minty scents so this box was a hit for me
  • Makes your room/house smell amazing

Cons:

  • Don’t really care for bubble bars
  • Those without a bathtub won’t be able to use some of these items.
  • Performance on the bath bomb was kind of weak

Kérastase Haul

Hi Y’all, I’ve got a Kérastase Haul to share with you~ I’m working on getting this blog going, my ideas come faster than I am able to execute them and that is frustrating wtf!!

My hair has become brassy from the sun so I got some stuff from the Kérastase Blond absolu line in this Kérastase Haul. I wanted to take advantage of a 15% cash back offer from Rakuten, I highly recommend signing up if you like to get your stuff online. For this order I made around $40.

This is my second order from Kérastase. I have learned it’s worth investing in good haircare! The products I’ve tried so far have convinced me to not go back. Taking care of your hair is way easier when you use quality products that make your hair less tangly and frustrating. Although, I still find a way to incorporate budget haircare into my routine to balance it out. Kérastase products are good for heat styling so I will reserve use of some of these for when I use heat.

My Kérastase Haul:

Soin Acide Chroma Gloss Hair Gloss
Price: $44.00
I needed an acidic cuticle sealer to help the shine of my hair, plan to use this twice a month. Might try the Joico cuticle sealer next which is cheaper.

Masque Ultra Violet Purple Hair Mask
Price: $54.40
This is supposed to help with brassiness in the hair, although I’ve seen that the amika Bust Your Brass Intense Repair Mask has been able to dramatically reduce brassiness in hair, that one is $10 cheaper although maybe around the same price with the discounts I got.

Serum Chroma Thermique Hair Serum
Price: $36.00
I wanted the Defense Thermique Blow Dry Primer since I heard it was good for detangling wet hair but they were sold out, so I settled for this. My hair really likes watery spray primers as a first step in LCO method, it makes my hair more manageable when brushing it out. I’ve had bad luck recently since I keep buying oil sprays which have little to no actual hydration.

Kérastase Haul

L’huile Original Hair Oil
Price: $43.20
I really love this hair oil, it’s one of the best I’ve tried in terms of smoothing out and nourishing my ends. I’ve got a few I need to use up before I get back to this one!

Nectar Thermique Blow Dry Primer
Price: $36.00
I have the ciment thermique blow dry primer from them and I really love it. It’s the easiest and pleasant to use leave in cream I’ve tried that works best both on wet or dry hair. This one is supposed to be more moisturizing and suitable for dry hair.

Masque Cicaextreme Hair Mask
Price: $54.40
This is meant to be a deep conditioning mask for helping to restore hair that is damaged from bleaching. It really can be used by anyone and doesn’t include any agents for bleaching or altering the color of your hair. I’m curious to see how this works for my hair. I ran out of deep conditioning masks so wanted to dry this.

Free Samples

Kerastase is really good about giving free samples with every order, I consider it a perk of buying from them directly. You can also get points for purchasing through their site to unlock special offers and discounts.

  • Blond Absolu Bain Ultra-violet Shampoo Sample
  • Nutritive 8h Magic Night Serum Sample
  • Nutritive 8h Magic Night Serum Sample
  • Résistance Ciment Thermique Blow Dry Primer Sample
  • Nutritive 8h Magic Night Hair Serum Deluxe Sample

ORDER TOTAL $290.11

I should have reviews coming up for these products in the coming months, so stay tuned! TBH taking care of my hair is new to me, at least to this extent, so I’m excited for all the hair care content I plan to post.

Living Libations Haul

I absolutely messed up and deleted all my blogposts when redesigning the site DD: so now I have to magically pull them out of my subconscious and rewrite them and hopefully the ones I forget about weren’t that great anyways, but I am pretty sad because I lost the first two OG Events around SF lists!!

Anyways, for today’s post I will be sharing a recent Living Libations haul. I been really into making the house smell non stressful because when we first started renting this place the smell of it was definitely kinda off. Now because of a bunch of Living Libations products and other space clearing rituals and what not it’s a lot more homey and grounding!!

Individual reviews coming soon!!
